CBC –VISION FOR 2008

1.  If you are willing to turn aside & _________ to God you will encounter Him.  Ex 3:2-4       

• Sometimes we are too preoccupied to even listen to what God is saying. Is 55:3; Ps 34:8   

• The Holy Spirit enjoins Himself to all who come to Jesus by faith.  Jn 7:37; Ps 73:26
• Jesus is calling us to Himself to find soulful rest & a meaningful future.  Mt 11:28          

• Our quest for God cannot be half-hearted, but with bold assurance. Is 29:13; Heb 10:19

2.  Our close encounters with God result in positive change & a call to ________.

• When Moses encountered God, he was called to go to Egypt with a message.  Ex 3:16           
• The women at the tomb were told to “come, see” & then to go with a message.  Mt 28:5

• All the apostles of Christ have a mission & a message.

Ap-os'-tol-os - a delegate; specially, an ambassador of the Gospel; officially a commissioner of Christ, KJV - apostle, messenger, he that is sent.

• God has called each of us to a mission & has given us His message to bring.

Challenge: 

• Come:  Draw nearer to God today!  - And He will draw near to you.
• Go with Me:  Actively pursue God’s mission for us & proclaim His Gospel together.
